Plymouth Man Gets 7 Years For Child Porn
Lawrence Tinsman, 67, of Plymouth, was sentenced to 84 months imprisonment with 5 years supervised release and ordered to pay $500 in restitution after pleading guilty to the felony offense of distribution of material involving a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
According to documents filed in this case, in April 2013, Tinsman possessed a computer onto which he had downloaded, using a peer-to-peer file sharing program, numerous images and videos that depicted minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Using this same file sharing system, Tinsman made the files available to be downloaded by other individuals seeking child pornography.
The case was the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John Maciejczyk in the Northern District Federal Court in South Bend.
