Warsaw Area Career Center’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America applied outstanding knowledge and skills at the state conference, held March 6-8.
Four teams earned Gold and became National Qualifiers. Three teams earned Silver, one became a National Qualifier and one a National Alternate, and one team earned Bronze.
The qualifying teams will to go to the National FCCLA Conference in San Antonio, Texas, July 6-10. Their projects will fulfill the WCS mission statement by “Enriching the Lives of Others” as a basis for this competition.
Warsaw Area Career Center FCCLA students placed in the following categories:
Gold
- Jodie Irwin, Mallorie Stiver and Kassidie Lape-Wood (National Programs in Action) – National Qualifier
- Alexis Manwaring and Kiersten Smith (Interpersonal Communications) – National Qualifier
- Julia Smith and Alexis Travis (Focus on Children) – National Qualifier
- Miranda Hall and Guadalupe Valenzuela (Chapter Service Display) – National Qualifier
Silver
- Lizbeth Dominguez and Reveca Moyotl (Illustrated Talk) – National Qualifier
- Ciera Bolden and Stephani Katris (Illustrated Talk) – National Alternate
- Jasmine Ponce and Vanessa Malagon (Life Event Planning)
Bronze
- Ivan Cervantes, Blanca Leyva and Alexa Castro (Advocacy)
