The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) Office of Water Quality (OWQ) is offering residential well owners the opportunity to have their water tested as part of the statewide Ground Water Monitoring Network.

Testing for metals, nitrate-nitrite, VOCs, SOCs, alkalinity, pesticide degradates and general chemistry will be conducted free of charge for 400 qualified well owners across the state.

To be eligible for this program, the well must be entered in the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) water well database and an untreated outside spigot should be accessible to IDEM staff.

Interested well owners can enroll by visiting http://www.in.gov/idem/6892.htm, or by contacting Kevin Spindler at  [email protected]v or 317-234-3243 for additional information.
