On Thursday Feb. 27, both the fourth and fifth grade Mentone Elementary math teams participated in the area IASP, (Indiana Association of School Principals), Elementary MATH Bowl in Wabash at the Honeywell Center. Both teams placed first in their classes.

After the regional competitions are completed the state compiles the scores across the state to determine an overall state champion and top ten.

Mentone fourth grade team placed eighth in the state and the fifth grade team placed sixth in the state in their respective classes.
