With some imagination and a few decorations, we’ve brought a heat wave to the library! Come by to enjoy our tropical oasis, and think ahead to March 20^th, the first day of spring! We’ll be celebrating all day with tropical punch, tiny umbrellas, and leis. Enjoy the many heartwarming stories available to read or listen to as your imagination takes you on a mini-vacation with a good book! Come by and embrace the island of library bliss!

Friends of the Library Meeting

Friends of the Milford Public Library have scheduled a meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, in the library’s meeting room. They plan to meet every first Tuesday of the month for the rest of 2014. All members are invited to attend.  If you are thinking about joining the Friends group, plan to attend and see what is being planned for this year.  

After School Is Cool Tuesdays

The snow is beginning to melt and the rain is going to begin pouring down. Tired of being stuck inside all day? Come to After School is Cool at 3:30 p.m. March 10. We’ll be playing fun games that only need a pencil and paper. Join us in the meeting room for some fun ideas, snacks, and simple games to play on rainy days.

Winter Story Time          

It’s our last week of Winter Story Time! To celebrate all the fun we’ve had together, this week’s story time will be all about our Story Time Favorites. Make sure to bring your own favorite story! We’ll read a few of your favorite books, make something special for your bookshelf, and receive a special book page with a delicious treat wrapped inside. Story time is at 10:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and at 7 p.m. on Thursdays.

Have you seen our latest collection of TV series? We have a growing combination of old and new shows. You are sure to find one that you love! Our newest additions include a few beloved series: Gilligan’s Island, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Twin Peaks, The Munsters, and Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. So come in, check out a season and indulge yourself daily with a few episodes from one of these classic television series!
