Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Sunday, Feb. 23, 2:13 a.m. Old Road 30 near South 325 East, Warsaw. Driver: Tiffany N. Koser, 27, 375 West, Columbia City. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000
Saturday, Feb. 22, 6:19 a.m. Old Road 15 near East 900 North, Milford. Driver: Sabrina L. Maldonado, 36, CR 1150 North, Milford. Maldonado drove through standing water causing her vehicle to exit the roadway and strike a snow bank. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Feb. 21, 10:36 p.m. North 700 West near West 1200 North, Nappanee. Driver: Darren L. Slabaugh, 18, 850 North, Etna Green. Slabaugh dropped of the side of the road and went up a snow-covered ditch, causing his vehicle to flip over. No injuries reported. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday, Feb. 21, 8:50 p.m. West 1350 North near North 700 West, Nappanee. Driver: Janet M. Jordan, 44, Maple Way, Leesburg. Jordan hit ice/water covered roads and lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle spun 180 degrees, left the roadway and was submerged in water in a ditch. Passenger Troy James, 40, of Leesburg, complained of head pain and was treated by EMS. Damages: up to $10,000
Friday, Feb. 21, 5:14 a.m. SR 15 near West 900 North, Leesburg. Driver: Fray J. Mancilla, 22, Tecumseh Street, Warsaw. Mancilla hydroplaned and ran off the road. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Feb. 21, 4:42 a.m. East 900 North near Harper Road, Milford. Driver: Brian D. Doty, 26, Graceland Ave., Claypool. Doty lost control of his vehicle after hitting high water and got stuck in a ditch. Damages: up to $1,000
Friday, Feb. 21, 1:18 a.m. East 900 North near Harper Road, Milford. Driver: Heather K. Hersha, 27, Hammontree Street, Larwill. Hersha hydroplaned and ran off the roadway. Damages: up to $10,000
North Webster Police Department
Officers of the North Webster Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Sunday, Feb. 23, 2:20 p.m. 6000 block of SR 13, North Webster. Drivers: Bernice A. Kovar, 59, EMS B7 Lane, Leesburg; and Lynn A. Raisor, 48, EMS W30A1 Lane, North Webster. Kovar backed into Raisor. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, Feb. 22, 5:02 p.m. SR 13 near Syracuse-Webster Road, North Webster. Driver: Kursty L. Fugate, 24, 3rd Street, Ligioner. Fugate drove off the road while attempting to avoid a collision with the car in front of her. Damages: up to $2,500
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Sunday Feb. 23, 11:14 a.m. 3600 block of Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Launda L. Ewell, 57, 550 East, Pierceton; and Kevin E. Satterthwaite, 23, Wood Duck Drive, Mentone. Ewell collided with Satterthwaite as each driver was exiting a parking space. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, Feb. 22, 6:58 a.m. 2400 block of Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Driver: Carol K. Vampner, 62, Spring Street, Etna Green; unoccupied vehicle register to Howard Luehers of Pierceton. Vampner struck a parked car while cutting across the parking lot of Lowes. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Feb. 21, 3:16 p.m. Argonne Road near Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Josh A. Saylor, 36, Sullivan Road, and Leesburg; Ashley R. Neubaum, 18, Timberline Circle, Warsaw. Saylor ran a traffic light and collided with Neubaum. No injuries reported. Damages: up to $10,000
Friday, Feb. 21, 12:55 p.m. Center Street near Lincoln Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Martin L. Taylor, 67, Gaywood Drive, Fort Wayne; and Stacy R. Sherow, 37, Elm Street, Etna Green. Taylor collided with Sherow when she pulled in front of them. Both drivers were adamant that they had the green light. No injuries reported. Damages: up to $1,000
