Quaker Haven Camp and Dewart Lake Community Friends Church invite all to join them for a Passover Seder meal at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 9. The Passover meal will be prepared by the Quaker Haven staff and the Seder presentation will be facilitated by Alan Bond, a representative of Jews for Jesus.

The Seder typically marks the beginning of the Jewish Passover. This will be a delicious, instructive and inspirational event as Bond points out the many ways the Jewish Passover celebrates Jesus (Y’shua) the Messiah as the Passover Lamb.

Jews for Jesus is an agency that proclaims that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world. The late Moishe Rosen, a Jew who has believed in Jesus for over 35 years, founded the organization. However, Dr. Rosen was quick to point out that he did not “start” Jews for Jesus.

“Jews for Jesus began about 2,000 years ago, around 32 C.E., give or take a year,” said Dr. Rosen. “Jesus’ first disciples were Jewish, and there have been some Jewish people who have believed in him ever since.” Jews for Jesus now has over 127 chapters in 41 states and five countries.

The cost of the meal will be $12 for adults and $6.50 for children age four to 11 (under 4 years are free). Reservations must be made no later than Monday, April 7, by calling the camp office at 574-834-4193.

A freewill offering will be received in support of the ministry of Jews for Jesus. Quaker Haven Camp is located at 111 EMS D16C Ln., west of the corner of County Roads 900 North and 500 East, south of Syracuse.
