Kosciusko Community YMCA will be starting their second session of winter classes on February 24.  Classes will run through April 6. Classes in Youth Development will include sports classes for preschoolers, swim lessons, and gymnastics classes for all ages.

Classes that promote the Healthy Living aspect of your Y will include group exercise classes at both the Smith Street and North Webster branches, classes for older adults and water aerobics in both the Warm Water and Lap Pools. The majority of group exercise and water aerobics classes are now included with a Y membership, but even those without a membership can take classes. Registration for these classes starts February 10 for Y members and February 17 for everyone and can take place at the North Webster or the Smith Street branch or online at www.kcymca.org.

New this session will be the Teen and Adult Advanced Swimming class on Saturday mornings from 8:00-9:00 a.m. If you know how to swim but would like to improve technique or increase swimming strength, the swim instructor Mark Shirey, will work with you on improving your swimming ability, whether it’s for a Triathlon or just recreation.

Enjoy the rewards of life-long learning while gaining the skills to connect to the Spanish speaking members of our community. The Adult Beginner Spanish course starting February 27 will be a basic course offering introductory Spanish for adults. Participants will learn to listen, speak, read and write using music, stories and conversation.

The class meets on Thursdays, February 27-April 10, 6:30-8:00 p.m. For more information on any of these programs call 574-269-9622 or see www.kcymca.org
