Patricia Reuter was this week’s lucky winner for the Adult Winter Reading Program at Milford Public Library. Pat’s name was drawn to receive one of the many great prizes being offered to patrons who are doing what they simply love to do anyway—READ!

The Adult Program lasts through the end of March, so there’s still plenty of time to join if you haven’t already done so. Who knows, you just might be our next lucky winner!

After School Is Cool Tuesdays
Tired of winter? Come join Miss Maureen on Tuesday, Feb. 25, for an inspiring craft day! We’re ready for spring, are you? Join us in the meeting room at 3:30 p.m. to make your own bit of Spring in a bottle. Enjoy some yummy dirt pudding with gummy worms for your snack. Bring your friends, have some snacks, and let’s get ready for spring! Join Miss Shari on Tuesday, March 5th for a St. Patrick’s day craft.

Winter Story Time
Feeling Sick? Come to story time where Miss Heidi and Miss Julie will help you find fun things to do when you’re not feeling well. Hear about Madeline’s mysterious illness in Madeline by Ludwig Bemelmans. Stay at home with Llama Llama Home with Mama by Anna Dewdney. A poor zookeeper in  A Sick Day for Amos McGee by Philip C. Stead gets some surprise visitors when he stays home sick from his job. We’ll complete our sick day with some homemade puzzles and chicken noodle soup. We’d love to have you join us! Story time is at 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays as well as at 7 p.m. on Thursdays.

Library Closing Early for Staff In-Service
The library will close at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, for a staff in-service. Make certain to come in before then to check out any materials you are looking for!

FEBRUARY: HAVE YOU LOVED YOUR LIBRARY?
In case you forgot, February is love your library month. It’s almost over, but hasn’t ended quite yet! Come in and give your local library a little love and maybe receive something in return.

Adults still have the opportunity to go on a blind date with a book. Check out a wrapped book, open and read it, then rate and return it for a chance to win a prize! It’s also not too late to participate in our Adult Winter Reading Program. Participants have been winning prizes weekly, tempting isn’t it?

Children are welcome to join into our remaining weeks of Winter Story Time where we read books, do crafts, eat snacks, and have a lot of fun!

Lastly, the library’s After School is Cool program coincides with the school year. A program is offered every Tuesday at 3:30 for school kids who are looking for something fun to do after school. Of course, we’d love if you simply stopped by to check out a few items and say hello. See you soon!

Federal Tax Booklets
Federal tax booklets are available for 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ tax forms. They can be found on the display table at the top of the stairs leading into the adult department. If you are having trouble finding the forms you need, ask for assistance at the circulation desk.
