SOUTH WHITLEY – The Whitko boys basketball team just missed ending its losing streak Friday night.

Visiting North Miami rallied to edge the host Wildcats 41-38 in a Three Rivers Conference contest.

Whitko led 25-23 entering the final frame before the Warriors outscored them 18-13 in the fourth quarter to earn the league win.

Nate Walpole led Whitko with 11 points.

The Wildcats drop to 1-13 overall and 0-5 in the TRC with their 10th straight loss. North Miami improves to 3-11 overall and 1-4 in the league.

Whitko plays at West Noble and North Miami travels to Tippecanoe Valley Thursday night.
