WINONA LAKE – A fast start carried visiting Lakewood Park past Lakeland Christian Academy Friday night in prep boys basketball action.

Lakewood Park bolted to a 27-10 lead after the opening frame en route to posting a 66-42 win.

Senior Chris Silveus and sophomore Carter Twombly led the way for LCA. Silveus had 13 points to go with five rebounds, while Twombly posted a double-double with 10 points and 14 caroms.

Senior Cody Kline and junior Brigham Davis each had six points for the Cougars.

LCA drops to 1-14 on the season, while Lakewood Park improves to 7-6.

LCA will host Culver Academies on Thursday, Feb. 13 for a varsity only game at 7 p.m.
