Guitarist, Organist At Indy Jazz Kitchen
INDIANAPOLIS – Performing together for this weekend only, Fareed Haque and Tony Monaco Trio are playing at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 17-18, at The Jazz Kitchen.
Voted “Best World Guitarist” by Guitar Player Magazine in 2009, Fareed Haque’s music is “classical and jazz, East and West, the future and the past” according to Guitar Player Magazine. His musical diversity is inspired by his frequent travels since a young child that exposed him to many different styles of music. Haque’s most recent album, “Out of Nowhere” was released on Aug. 20, 2013.
Considered “the best organ player you have yet to hear” by Critical Jazz Review 2012, Tony Monaco has been a jazz organist since he was eight. In his time as a musician, Monaco has released eight international albums and has toured all around the globe. His most recent album, “Celebration: Life, Love, Music” is a two disc set of new and original music that “is a constant joy to hear” according to All Music Guide.
