TV Students Honoring Local Heroes
Two senior English classes will have a project gallery set up at the Tippecanoe Valley v. Rochester game this Friday.
Students from English teachers Melanie Mason and Katerina Wine’s classes will be presenting their projects they have been working on the past few months as part of a project titled, “Honoring Unsung Heroes.” Students studied various types of heroes and learned about the hero’s journey through literature, novels, and other types of writing.
After discussing what it takes to be a hero, students picked normal everyday people in their communities to feature as their local “unsung” heroes. The gallery will be set up in the Tippecanoe Valley High School commons from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. during Friday’s boys basketball games. It is free to the community and students will be on hand during half time at the Varsity game to discuss their heroes and answer questions. Please come out and join these students in honoring the heroes of our community.
