PLYMOUTH – A tough start paved the way to a 51-21 loss for Whitko to Plymouth Friday night.

The host Pilgrims bolted to a 15-0 lead after the opening quarter en route to the non-conference boys basketball win.

Senior Dylan Cumberland scored eight points to lead the Wildcats, who drop to 1-8. Freshman Nate Walpole had seven points for Whitko.

Tom Felke scored 15 points and Jack Barron had 10 to pace Plymouth, which improves to 4-3.

Whitko plays at Rochester Friday night in Three Rivers Conference action.
