The Shop Local for the Holidays committee wrapped up the month-long awareness campaign on Dec. 14 and awarded Jo Butler of Syracuse a $500 shopping spree for her support.

The campaign was a county-wide initiative to encourage residents to support local businesses.  Through the combined efforts of the Kosciusko Chamber, Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber, Pierceton Chamber, Kosciusko CVB and the North Webster Chamber, passports were given out at many shops throughout the county and at various events in each community. The grand prize for completing the passport was a $500 Kosciusko County shopping spree.

Kosciusko County’s economy remains strong, please continue to shop local through the year to ensure it remains vital.
