At about 3:30 a.m. this morning, a semi tractor-trailer hauling aluminum engine covers crashed along U.S. 30 near Pierceton. The rig rolled over, causing the trailer to split open.

The driver of the truck, whose name has not yet been released, was not injured but the westbound lane of the highway was closed and eastbound traffic was closed while the accident scene was cleared.
