The Kosciusko County Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #149, paid tribute to a local man Thursday night for his actions to assist law enforcement last month.

Matt Podenski was honored for assisting an undercover Warsaw Police officer who was attempting to make an arrest on a fleeing subject. It happened Nov 26 in the Walgreens pharmacy in Warsaw.

Kosciusko County F.O.P. members presented Podenski with a Certificate of Fraternal Order of Police Appreciation for going above and beyond to assist local law enforcement and remaining at the scene until other officers could arrive. Podenski was very humbled as he was thanked by several law enforcement officers from throughout Kosciusko County for his actions.
