Looking for new sales leads to grow your business? Seeking that ideal job to advance your career? The North Webster Public Library’s new “AtoZdatabases” is a valuable business tool that enables users to research consumer and business markets, create mailing lists, search for jobs, research companies and much more. If you have a North Webster Library card, the database can be accessed free from your home or office by visiting the Research Tools page of library’s website at www.nweb.lib.in.us. Don’t have a North Webster Library card? You can still access “AtoZdatabases” free using one of the library’s public computers.

AtoZdatabases includes 220 million U.S. residents updated weekly that can be searched by 135 interests/hobbies/lifestyles, geography, household income, home market value, housing type, mortgage information and much more. Results can be downloaded into an Excel file, printed as a PDF or emailed to create sales leads and mailing labels.

You can also search more than 30 million U.S. businesses and executive profiles. Detailed data includes industry specifics, employee size, sales competitors, executive titles, e-mail addresses, historical data and other information. Job seekers can search over 2.3 million job listings nationwide by city, state, zip code and industry. You can also find jobs by keyword, business name, job title and 27 popular categories. Advance searching allows you to limit your search by salary range, radius around your city or zip code and many more selections to help you find the right job for you. Other resources available include resume templates, interview tips and other options.

Remember, the library is accepting food for fines this week until Dec. 21. If you have unpaid library fines, $1 will be taken off of your fine for every non-perishable food item you bring in. Expired food items, dented cans or damaged packages cannot be accepted. All food items will be donated to the North Webster Food Pantry. The Food for Fines program applies only to North Webster Library card holders for materials borrowed from our Library and does not apply to lost, damaged or unreturned materials.

In other library news, the Voyager Book Club will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, to discuss an audio book each has listened to. In January, they will be discussing mystery books.

Families will want to mark their calendars at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, when family movie time will have two showings of a sequel about a former super-villain and his minions in the library meeting room. The movie will be shown at 11 a.m. in the library meeting room and at 3 p.m. in the North Webster Community Center banquet hall. The 3 p.m. showing, co-sponsored with the Community Center, will include a juggling demonstration by LaMar Yoder prior to the movie.

Although the library will be closed all day on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Dec. 24-25, you can access many of our resources and services 24/7 by visiting the website at www.nweb.lib.in.us.
