Info, Photos Sought On Vietnam Serviceman

Since 1986, the students of Lake Central High School in St. John, Ind., have been researching the men and women from Indiana who gave their lives in the Vietnam War. Today, the students are hoping the people of Kosciusko County can help him learn more about a Warsaw native. (See related)

Ryan Powers is among the researchers for World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Memorials located in downtown Indianapolis. Of the 1,621 Vietnam casualties, they have located over 890 families. Powers is seeking any and all help in locating any pictures or information of Russell Arden Poor. All of the information collected is going to be put in the permanent and traveling Vietnam War Memorial museum to further educate and heighten awareness of the Vietnam War.

Poor served in the United States Air Force and died in North Vietnam on Feb. 4, 1967.
