SOUTH WHITLEY – Bellmont used a strong first half to post a 61-38 win Saturday night at Whitko in boys basketball action.

Bellmont led 17-10 after the opening period and had a 29-18 halftime advantage en route to the victory.

Dylan Cumberland scored 17 points to lead the host Wildcats. Nate Walpole had 16 points for Whitko, which drops to 0-3.

Whitko plays at Central Noble Tuesday. Bellmont, now 1-2, hosts Heritage Saturday.
