Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Wednesday, Dec. 4, 7:27 a.m. North 400 East and East 100 North, Warsaw. Driver: Susan Walters, 43, East 200 North, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $5,000

Tuesday, Dec. 3, 7:23 p.m. North 150 West and West 400 North, Warsaw. Driver: Natalie S. Heck, 49, East Oldfield Drive, Leesburg. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500

Tuesday, Dec. 3, 6:03 p.m. North 450 East and East 1050 North, Syracuse. Driver: Meichi L. Stahly, 35, North Eastshore Drive, Syracuse. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500

Tuesday, Dec. 3, 7:20 a.m. North SR 13 and East 200 North, Warsaw. Driver: Grant R. Toney, 28, West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Toney was northbound on SR 13 attempting to turn left onto CR 200 North when another vehicle passed on his right at a high rate of speed and sideswiped his vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle left the scene. Damages: up to $2,500
Syracuse Police Department
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following accident:

Tuesday, Dec. 3, 8:53 a.m. 101 W. Chicago St., Syracuse. Drivers: Helen L. Deeds, 49, East Lakeview Avenue, Syracuse; and Jami L. Cantu, 29, North Nash Drive, Syracuse. Deeds was backing from a parking space at the Syracuse Community Center and collided with Cantu’s vehicle. Damages: less than $750

Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accident:

Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2:32 a.m. South Buffalo and Boydston streets. Driver: Michael E. Grubbs, 57, East Leedy Street, Warsaw. Driver struck a deer. Damages: up to $2,500
