Everett and Marie (Eby) Tom celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 30 with a family get together and dinner in Fort Wayne, along with a trip to Tennessee.

They were married Dec. 6, 1953, in The Bethany Church of the Brethren in New Paris.

Their children are: Kip Tom (Marcia McNagny), Leesburg; Melinda (Russ) Woda, Powell, Ohio; Melissa (Ray) Gerber, Milford; and Melodie (Scott) Thompson, Fort Wayne.

They have 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The couple have been lifelong farmers in the area. They also had the Prairie House Bed and Breakfast for many years. Everett still operates a cow/calf operation.
