Donald Richard Rhodes, 75, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at his residence at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2013.

He was a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., for the past 36 years. He was a 1958 graduate of Bourbon High School and retired from NIPSCO in 2002. He was a Heavy B Operator, working with backhoes and dump trucks.

He was born Aug. 3, 1939, in Etna Green, Ind., to Carroll Rhodes and Elaine (Orsund) Rhodes.

Donald is survived by his daughter: Kathleen Rhodes, Warsaw; two brothers: Roger (Shirley) Rhodes, Warsaw; and James (Bonnie) Rhodes, Warsaw; four sisters: Shirley (Donald) Guske, Crown Point, Ind.; Janet White, Syracuse, Ind.; Carolyn (Donald) Rarick, Warsaw, Ind; and Patricia Nichols, Warsaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be visitation from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. His funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and officiated by Chaplain Bob Jarboe.
