The Kosciusko Board of REALTORS® Community Service Committee extended its rich history of community involvement in November through its 2013 Shoes for Scholars Program. The Shoes for Scholars program provides free gift cards to elementary school children to purchase shoes or boots for the school year; the program was started over ten years ago.

KBOR believes that children are made stronger when the community works together as partners to assist those families in need. This year, the Kosciusko Board of REALTORS®, partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters and donated 20 $30 Shoe Carnival gift card’s (for a total of $600) to elementary school children involved in the Big Brother Big Sister’s mentoring programs.

On Wednesday, Nov 13, members of KBOR’s Community Service Committee met Community Based Match Support Specialist Danielle Anthony and a group of “Bigs and Littles” to accept their Shoe Carnival gift cards. Both organizations thank Shoe Carnival management for their gracious hospitality and dedication to the community.
