Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department

Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following incidents:

  • Monday, Nov. 18, 12:14 a.m. Officers responded to a report of criminal recklessness at 200 block of Robinson Lake Road in Pierceton.
  • Sunday, Nov. 17, 1:15 p.m. Officers responded to a burglary attempt at Mentone Coin Laundry on Main Street in Mentone. Apparently nothing was stolen.
  • Saturday, Nov. 16, 6:07 p.m. Theft of a cell phone was reported at 11000 block of Wawasee Circle, Cromwell.
  • Saturday, Nov. 16, 3:09 p.m. Vehicular accident on private property reported in the 3400 block of Old Farm Road in Warsaw. Vehicles involved were registered to Gelvy R. Buitrago Monsalve and Sandra Foreman.
  • Saturday, Nov. 16, 2:06 p.m. “Stay and dash” reported at Brook Point Inn in Syracuse.
  • Saturday, Nov. 16, 11:21 a.m. Dorene Rasmussen reported that her granddaughter stole tools from her home on Warbler Lane in Warsaw. The report indicates the girl had stolen from Rasmussen previously.
  • Saturday, Nov. 16, 2:30 a.m. Identity theft: a woman reported someone attempted to take out a car loan with her identity at a bank in Etna Green.
  • Friday, Nov. 15, 9:00 a.m. Report of an ex-employee at Keystone Designs in Pierceton making threats.

Warsaw Police Department

Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following incidents:

  • Sunday, Nov. 17, 12:22 p.m. Officers responded to report of a battery in the presence of a minor in the 2100 block of Fort Wayne Street.
  • Saturday, Nov. 16, 8:45 p.m. Jason B. Stahly reported a hit and run at his residence on Fort Wayne Street in Warsaw. A red Dodge Ram with a grey stripe was reported seen leaving the scene.
  • Friday, Nov. 15, 8:31 p.m. The airbags in Mario Rodriguez’ vehicle spontaneously deployed while he was driving. Officers responded to the scene of the incident in the 1000 block Lake Street in Warsaw. Rodriguez was injured and taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital.
  • Friday, Nov. 15, 3:46 p.m. A vehicle was reported damaged at the 200 block of Eisenhower Parkway in Warsaw.
  • Friday, Nov. 15, 1:32 p.m. Warsaw Bowl reported cash taken from a register. The investigation is ongoing.
