Nappanee has officially lifted the boil order that began at 7:30 a.m. on Monday (see related).

According to Nappanee Water Utility, the ban was lifted approximately 45 minutes ago after bacteriological samples demonstrated that the water is now safe for consumption.

According to Nappanee Mayor Larry Thompson, the boil order was the result of a malfunction at the water treatment facility Monday morning.
