At approximately 1:35 p.m. members of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory and Multi-Township EMS were called to respond to a single passenger car accident in the Devil’s Backbone (SR 25) that left one man trapped in the wreckage.

According to KCSD Public Information Officer Chad Hill, the driver of the vehicle has been identified as Chuck Lisenbee, 52, of Warsaw. Hill stated Lisenbee was southbound on SR 25 when, according to a witness who was southbound behind him, a tire blew on the vehicle causing the driver to loose control and drive into brush located off the side of the road.

Lisenbee was trapped within his vehicle and was freed by firefighters at the scene. Hill stated that Lisenbee has been transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital by ambulance in serious, but stable condition.
