
“After School is Cool” Tuesdays
Thenext “After School is Cool” Tuesday at Milford Public Library is at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 12. The library is showing an animated movie about dinosaurs. The movie is rated G. Refreshments are available.
Craft day is Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 3:30 p.m. with Miss Shari. Have fun making leaves from tissue paper and enjoy a special snack afterwards!
Fall Preschool Story Time
Miss Heidi’s theme on Nov. 13 is Hair, Hair, Everywhere! You may either attend 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. session. Listen to Ella Kazoo Will Not Brush Her Hair, by Lee Fox, and other hairy stories. Decorate a face with your choice of facial hair and share delicious cupcakes for dessert.
Fall session of preschool story time continues through Nov. 27. Children ages 3-6 are invited to join us for fun-filled stories and activities throughout the remainder of Fall Story Time.
Book and Bake Sale
The Friends of the Milford Public Library is hosting their bi-annual book and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 15 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 16. There are books, videos, magazines and more.
The Milford Community Cookbook is available for purchase for $15. They make great Christmas gifts for friends and family. All money collected during the sale will help the library! If you would like to become involved in the Friends of the Milford Public Library group, stop at the adult desk and ask for a brochure.
Evening and Afternoon Knitting
Need help following a knitting pattern? The afternoon knitting club will meet at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 15 in the adult department. The Knitting Club is always looking for new people to join their group. With or without experience, the club encourages you to come and join them. Bring your project and enjoy some company.

As the Indiana weather chases us inside, what better way to spend a chilly day than curled up with a warm blanket and a great book. You will find the new Janet Evanovich book, Takedown Twenty, among the library’s new adult mysteries.
Favorite author Karen Kingsbury’s new title, Fifteen Minutes, is now available for check out.
If you are looking for new holiday recipes to cook this Thanksgiving, check out The Pioneer Woman Cooks a Year of Holidays, by Ree Drummond. Add Dressing with Sausage, Apples, and Mushrooms to this year’s feast. Or maybe Carmel Apple Pie for dessert.
After stuffing yourself full of Thanksgiving deliciousness, enjoy a great movie with your family. Check out “Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade” or try an old-time classic like “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.” The library wishes everyone a happy and safe holiday season!
