Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Monday, Oct. 21, 1:04 a.m. 800 West near 100 South, Mentone. Driver: Timothy P. Richard, 19, Sheridan Street, Warsaw. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $2,500

Sunday, Oct. 20, 7:52 p.m. Kinsey Road near 550 South, Claypool. Driver: Sherlock Harrison, 41, 350 South, Warsaw. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $5,000

Sunday, Oct. 20, 7:47 p.m. 100 South near 800 West, Warsaw. Driver: Stacy L. Price, 29, 100 South, Warsaw. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $5,000

Saturday, Oct. 19, 1:30 a.m. US 30 near 950 West, Etna Green. Driver: Matthew W. Miller, 41, 3A Road, Plymouth. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $5,000

Saturday, Oct. 19, 12:50 a.m. SR 13 near 650 East, Syracuse. Driver: Wayne E. Lyon. Lyon lost control of his vehicle, exited the roadway, and collided with a concrete wall and fence in the Sleepy Owl Restaurant parking lot. Lyon sustained minor injuries and bleeding from the face. According to the accident report, it is believed that Lyon had been drinking. He was administered a blood alcohol test to which the results are currently pending. Damages: up to $50,000

Saturday, Oct. 19, 12:29 a.m. Main Street near Channel Street, North Webster. Driver: Becky J. Kern, 50, Crystal Flash Road 30, North Webster. Kern cut a turn at the intersection too short and drove into a ditch. Damages: up to $2,500

Friday, Oct. 18, 9:59 p.m. US 30 near Van Ness Road, Pierceton. Driver: James D. Zellers, 38, Columbia Street, Warsaw. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $10,000

Friday, Oct. 18, 7:49 p.m. SR 15 near Union Street, Claypool. Driver: Derek M. Bruner, 23, Ferguson Road, Warsaw. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to 5,000

Friday, Oct. 18, 4:44 p.m. Packerton Road near 225 South, Warsaw. Drivers: Rochelle L. Ferrolino, 30, Park Ridge Road, Warsaw; Todd E. Engle, 48, Country Club Road, Warsaw. Ferrolino collided with Engle. Damages: up to $10,000

Friday, Oct. 18, 4:50 a.m. 200 North near 800 West, Warsaw. Driver: unknown. Vehicle left the roadway and rolled into a ditch, causing damage to a barb wire fence and several posts. Damages: up to $25,000

Friday, Oct. 18, 1:27 a.m. US 30 near 250 East, Warsaw. Driver: Richard A. Opelt, 69, Thorpe Drive, Peru. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $2,500

Silver Lake Police Department

Officers of the Silver Lake Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Saturday, Oct. 19, 7:32 p.m. SR 15 near 950 South, Silver Lake. Driver: Daniel B. Miller, 67, Wren Street, Elkhart. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $5,000

Warsaw Police Department

Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:

Sunday, Oct. 20, 9:02 a.m. SR 15 near Dogwood Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Michelle L. Dials, 41, Oak Street, Warsaw. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $10,000

Saturday, Oct. 19, 9:52 p.m. SR 14 near 450 West, Silver Lake. Driver Mark A. Weller, 56, SR 14, Silver Lake. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $10,000

Saturday, Oct. 19, 5:06 p.m. Center Street near Cleveland Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Marilynn J. Rickard, 81, EMS R4 Lane, Pierceton; Martin B. Sacks, 65, 700 South, Warsaw. Rickard ran a red light causing a collision with Sacks. Damages: up to $5,000

Friday, Oct. 18, 11:38 p.m. Lake City Highway near Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Gino T. Sherrod, 52, Vista Drive, Beloit, Wis.; Kelly P. Steed, 49, County Road North, Milton, Wis. Sherrod rear-ended Steed. Damages: up to $10,000

Friday, Oct. 18, 3:50 p.m. Commerce Drive near Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Nicole R. Lewallen, 19, SR 25, Mentone; Fenlei F. Chang, 60, Inverness Lakes Drive, Fort Wayne; Kimberly A. Cochran, 24, Warbler Lane, Warsaw. Lewallen rear-ended Chang, pushing him into Cochran. Damages: up to $10,000

Friday, Oct. 18, 2:30 p.m. 3000 block of Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Laura L. Curtis, 34, Yvonna Street, Leesburg. Curtis backed into a parked car. Damages: up to $2,500
