Dr. Suess Collectibles or a Lorax?

Can anyone loan the Syracuse Public Library a stuffed Lorax for our display case? The staff is highlighting Dr. Suess’s stories for the Halloween open house. Becky Brower is making a display about Dr. Suess and would appreciate any Suess characters or collectibles that can be put in the display case. Any items loaned will be locked and on display until November. Please call the library at 574-457-3022 or ask for Becky at the adult circulation desk.

Upcoming Events

The homeschooling group is meeting at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24. Parents are invited to meet and share ideas for learning successes while the children have activities with the librarian.

The adult book club is reading Lovely Bones, Alice Sebold’s first novel. The book was made into a popular movie. Sebold has written several best-selling books after her debut novel. The book club meets at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13. Please call the library to reserve a copy of the book. All Syracuse library activities have open attendance policies and welcome new members.
