ARGOS – The Argos boys’ soccer team is ranked among the best in the state in Class 1-A.

The Dragons showed why Wednesday night.

Argos, ranked No. 9 in the final Class 1-A poll of the season, blanked Lakeland Christian Academy 7-0 in soccer sectional semifinal play.

The contest of the Culver Sectional was moved to Argos due to unplayable field conditions at Culver.

Damon Binkley scored a pair of goals to lead Argos to the win on its’ home field.

Argos improves to 15-3 and advances to play Bremen Saturday at 5 p.m. in the sectional title match.  Bremen defeated Winamac 8-1 in the first semifinal contest Wednesday night.

LCA finishes its’ season 1-11-1.
