The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School cross country teams and 6th grade volleyball teams were in action Thursday night.

Haley Hoover led the girls’ cross country team with a first-place performance in a time of 13:33.

Sarah Tucker was fifth in a time of 15:50 and Lorena Santiago eighth in 16:12.

Evan Lowman led the boys runners with a third-place finish in a time of 13:15.

Alex Santiago placed 18th in a time of 18:13, with Domingo Santiago 20th in 19:10 and Hunter Pacely 21st in 19:47.

Both Valley 6th grade volleyball teams lost to Wabash.

Wabash won the A team match 25-20, 25-13. Ally Betten had an ace and Amy Baca led Valley in passing.

Wabash won the B team match 25-18, 25-19. Makenzie Woodcox had three aces and also led Valley in passing.
