SYRACUSE – Ben Linky turned in a big performance Saturday in leading the Warsaw junior varsity football team past Wawasee.
Linky fired a trio of touchdown tosses as the Tigers whipped the Warriors 26-0 in Northern Lakes Conference action in Syracuse.
Linky finished the game 9-11 through the airwaves for 167 yards and three scores.
The trio of Matt Anthony, Brock Riley and Tommy Hickerson each hauled in a touchdown reception for Warsaw in the win.
Ross Armey led the Tiger ground game with 101 yards rushing and one touchdown. Tyler Packard added 66 yards on the ground for the JV Tigers.
Mike Miotto led the winning defense with nine tackles. Dylan Childers had seven stops, Marselo Rodriguez six, Mario Flores five and Jack Higgins four.
Warsaw improves to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in NLC play.
The Tigers play at NorthWood next Saturday at 10 a.m.
