The Whitko boys’ tennis team edged past Churubusco for a 3-2 victory Monday.
Tyler Baugher led the way for the winning Wildcats with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles.
Blake Castle won 5-7, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 singles for Whitko. The Wildcats took the match on a forfeit at No. 3 singles by Churubusco.
Whitko faces Wawasee Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. in the opening match of the Warsaw Sectional.
Volleyball Team Falls To Eagles
The Whitko varsity volleyball team lost 3-0 at Columbia City Monday night.
The host Eagles topped the Wildcats 25-13, 25-13, 25-12.
Tressa Keim had four kills and two aces for the Wildcats. Setter Elaine Warner had 11 assists for Whitko.
JV Volleyball Team Victorious
The Whitko junior varsity volleyball team topped host Columbia City 25-19, 12-25, 15-13 Monday.
Kaity Reed had five kills and six digs and Whitney Marsh five kills to lead the winners.
Haley Yohe had 15 assists and Hanna Yohe nine digs for Whitko in the win.
Frosh Volleyball Team Defeated
The Whitko freshman volleyball team lost at Columbia City Monday.
The host Eagles topped the Wildcats 25-19, 25-14.
Riley Insley had two kills, Andrea Snavely three aces and Haley Yohe five assists to lead Whitko.
