Motorists along U.S. 30 in Warsaw witnessed a short foot pursuit Thursday afternoon when an Atwood man ran from police and was Tased.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. at Parker Street and U.S. 30 when a Warsaw Police Officer initiated a traffic stop on a white SUV for a seatbelt infraction. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Luke Isaac Reinhart, 34, of Atwood, stopped the vehicle and then fled on foot. He got to about the median of the highway where he was Tased by an officer and taken into custody.

Reinhart was arrested for possession of marijuana, false informing and resisting law enforcement. His bond was set at $500.

A passenger in the vehicle, 30-year-old Tasha Nicole Comment of Van Wert, Ohio, was also arrested for possession of marijuana and false informing. Her bond was set at $450.
