Faye KingFaye I. King 87, of Bourbon, Ind., passed away at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth, Ind.

Faye was born June 10, 1926, at home in Bremen, Ind., to Walter and Elva Berkeypile Heckaman.  She was a resident of the area all of her life and a graduate of Bourbon High School. On Feb. 1, 1985, she married Charles King who survives.

She was a member of the Bourbon First United Methodist Church. Faye retired from Miller Bearing of Bremen as a bearing inspector. She was a member of the Bourbon “Red Hat” Ladies and frequently attended the Wednesday morning ladies coffee club at the corner restaurant in Bourbon.

She is survived by her husband; her step-daughter: Chris Boyer, Bourbon; step-daughter-in-law: Shelly King, Mentone, Ind.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters: Bonnie Craig, Nappanee, Ind.; Joyce Overmyer, Rochester, Ind.; Lois ‘Jeannie’ (Jake) Roahrig, Plymouth; and her two brothers: LeRoy ‘Pealy’ Heckaman, Bourbon; and Roscoe ‘Pete’ Heckaman of Argos, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Helen Montgomery; step-son: Michael King; and her sister-in-law: Margery Heckaman.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, in the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St. Bourbon. Burial will follow at a later date in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.

Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of your choice in her memory.
