images-7The Warsaw girls golf team turned in a season best performance Thursday.

The Tigers shot a season best 166 in topping host Manchester at the Sycamore Golf Course in North Manchester. The hosts shot a 211 in the varsity competition.

Senior Nikki LaLonde led the winners by earning medalist honors with a 34. LaLonde’s two-under par total was a personal best for her.

The Warsaw junior varsity team shot a season best 203 Thursday. Manchester did not field a JV team.

Warsaw, now 13-2, will take part in the NLC Tournament Saturday. Play begins at the Maplecrest Country Club in Goshen at 9 a.m.

Tennis Team Washed Out

The Warsaw boys tennis team’s home match versus Fort Wayne Canterbury was cancelled Thursday due to rain.

The match will not be made up.

Warsaw, which is 7-3 overall and 4-0 in the NLC, hosts its own tournament Saturday. The Tigers then host Penn in a makeup match on Monday.
