Edwina Hayes, 76, of Silver Lake, Ind., passed away at 8:57 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at home.

She was born on April 14, 1937, in Clarksburg, W.Va., to Rosco H. and Jeannette H. (Rice) Sines. She was a 1956 graduate of Marion High School, Marion, Ind. On Nov. 1, 1958, she married John M. Hayes in Marion. She was a resident of Silver Lake since. 1986

Edwina worked as office manager for Wabash Wholesale, Logansport, Ind., and attended Silver Lake Wesleyan Church.

She is survived by a daughter: Lora (Mark) Sill, Akron, Ind.; a son: Scott (Debra) Hayes, Syracuse, Ind.; two sisters: Toni Decker, Elkhart, Ind.; and Rita (Adrian) Messer, Silver Lake; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: John M. Hayes; a son: Rocky Hayes; and an infant grandson.

No visitation is planned and services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Germantown Cemetery, Silver Lake.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
