Kevin and Amy Deardorff of Claypool, Ind., and Lori Tilden and DeLynn Geiger, Warsaw, Ind., announce the engagement of their daughter, Mallory Deardorff, to Lucas Dawson, son of Todd and Jan Dawson, Broomfield, Colo., and formerly of Warsaw.

The bride-to-be is a second year law student at Drexel University’s Earle Mack School of Law in Philadelphia, Pa. She received her B.A. in Sociology from Purdue University in December 2011.

The groom-to-be is a second year Ph.D. student studying Immunology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa. He received his B.S. in Biology and Society from Cornell University in May 2009.

Both are graduates of Warsaw Community High School; Dawson graduated in 2005 and Deardorff graduated in 2008.

The wedding is planned for Jan. 3, 2015.
