Heartline Hosts Walk For Life
Heartline Pregnancy Center Inc. invites the community to participate in their annual “Walk for Life” event on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Beyer Family Farm Trail next to the Health Services Pavilion. Participants can register for free online at www.heartlinepregnancycenter.org and obtain a free personalized web page for seeking pledges.
The “Walk for Life,” sponsored by Heartline Pregnancy Center, will benefit the local pregnancy center. All participants who raise $300 or more in pledges will receive a complimentary event T-shirt. Awards will be given for top participants and churches including gift certificates from area businesses, such as Buffalo Wild Wings.
The 2 mile walkathon starts at 10 a.m. with participant registration and tours of Heartline Pregnancy Center beginning at 9 a.m. Sign-up will take place at participating churches, the Heartline office, located in the K21 Health Services Pavilion or online.
Corporate sponsors for this year’s walk include Mission Point Community Church, Rabb Water Systems, Masterson Chiropractic, Lowery Sewing Center and State Farm Insurance Linda Adams. Torrey Bauer of Lavender and Bauer is sponsoring a mile.
“This is our fifth annual Walk for Life and every year we continue to have increased participation,” said Angie Wood, executive director at Heartline. “With the help of the local community, the funds raised allow Heartline to continue meeting the needs of women and babies in our county experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.”
