Whitko-Icon-130x130GARRETT – Whitney Hobbs turned in a strong performance to lead the Whitko volleyball team Saturday in the Garrett Invitational.

Hobbs earned all-tournament team honors as the Wildcats went 1-3 on the day.

Whitko defeated Hamilton and lost to Eastside, Central Noble and New Haven.

Hobbs, a senior middle hitter, had 22 kills on the day. She also had 10 blocks to go with seven aces and 11 digs.

Setter Elaine Warner racked up 72 assists for Whitko to go with five kills and 22 digs. Tressa Keim had 13 kills and 46 digs for the Wildcats.

Boys’ Soccer Squad Drops Pair

The Whitko boys’ soccer team dropped a 2-0 final to North Miami at home on Saturday.

Jacob Stiver had a goal and an assist for the winners.

The Wildcats also lost a 1-0- final to undefeated Manchester Saturday.

Whitko is now 0-5 on the season.
