A Pierceton man was killed Wednesday in a fiery crash near Dayton, Ohio.

Michael Moore, 59, and another truck driver were both thrown from their vehicles in the crash that happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday on I-75 in Tipp City, Ohio. Moore and Dial Jhutti of Brampton, Ontario, were killed.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, three semi trucks and four cars were involved in the crash that occurred in a construction zone. Police believed Jhutti failed to slow down for traffic and rear-ended a passenger car that resulted in a chain reaction collision.

Five other drivers involved in the crash were treated for minor injuries at the scene and another woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.

I-75 was shut down for about four hours because of the fire resulting from the crash. Ohio Department of Transportation crews worked another 20 hours to clear the scene and make road repairs.
