Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following incidents:

• Tuesday, Aug. 27, 12:58 a.m. A domestic battery was reported in the 9500 block of South SR 13, Claypool.
• Tuesday, Aug. 27, 7:23 a.m. Ted Grumme reported a mailbox destroyed in the area of 6200 East 1050 N., Syracuse.
• Monday, Aug. 26, 11:42 a.m. Alton Bruner reported the theft of ring set valued at $1,000 from a residence in the 300 block of West Street, Burket.
• Monday, Aug. 26, 3:54 p.m. Cayse Kentch reported a theft from her residence in the 2600 block of North SR 13, Pierceton.
• Monday, Aug. 26, 8:45 p.m. Douglas Blanton Jr. reported a female trespassing on property in the 3100 block of East Wooster Road, Pierceton.

Pierceton Police Department
Officers of the Pierceton Police Department recently investigated the following incident:

• Monday, Aug. 26, 12:42 a.m. Officers were called to the 400 block of South Village Street where a 33-year-old female had hanged herself.

Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following incident:

• Monday, Aug. 26, 8:10 p.m. A woman reported being battered by means of strangulation.
