Crime Of The Week
This week’s crime of the week comes from the files of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
On Aug. 25, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department took a theft report from an address in the 6000 East block of 650 North, Syracuse. The theft occurred between 5 p.m. on Aug. 24 and 1 p.m. on Aug. 25.
The home owner came home to find her shed had been broken into. The home owner reported that a gas can and her new riding lawn mower were taken. The mower taken was a green John Deere LT 130GL recently purchased from Lowe’s.
The mower had a 42-inch cutting deck and a tree guard on it. The suspect(s) also damaged another John Deere mower when they attempted to jump start it. This mower was not taken.
The suspect(s) also went through all the cabinets in the shed. At the time of the report, the home owner is unsure what might be missing from the cabinets.
