The Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department is offering the following activities in September:

Kansas concert, 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, Foellinger Theatre, Franke Park. Cost is $32 or $22. Kansas appeared on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the ‘70’s and ‘80’s and played to sold-out arenas and stadiums throughout North America, Europe and Japan. You’ll remember their gold single “Dust in the Wind,” and hits such as “Carry On Wayward Son” and “Point of No Return.”

Fall Bonsai Display, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, Botanical Conservatory. Explore a forest of miniature trees carefully trained and pruned by members of the local bonsai club. Elms, maples, junipers and other familiar plants look just like their outdoor cousins — but a fraction of their size. The club also grows tropical bonsai that don’t need special winter treatment. Learn about this fascinating hobby. Bonsai pots and young plants will be available to purchase. Special conservatory admission fee: $3 per adult, $2 per child, ages 2 and under free.

The Lettermen Concert, 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, Foellinger Theatre, Franke Park. Cost is $15. This All-American, family friendly trio consists of Tony Butala, Donovan Tea and Bobby Poynton. The ’60s and the early ’70s saw The Lettermen score over 25 chart hit singles, including “Theme from ‘A Summer Place,’” “Goin’ Out Of My Head/Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and “Hurt So Bad.” They have sung and recorded in over 14 languages and have received 18 gold records internationally.

Salomon Farm Fall Harvest Festival, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20-21, Solomon Farm Park, 817 Dupont Road. A two-day celebration of the history and culture of the American Farm. It’s fun for all ages and the event is free, so bring your family and spend a day at the Farm. There will be live animals, oat/wheat threshing, food concessions, corn husking/shredding, hay rides, antique farm equipment, rope making and much more.
