Cynthia Ruthann Sawyer, 51, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at 1:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.

She was born on July 26, 1962, in South Bend, Ind., to Joseph and Laverne (Duncan) Linville. On July 26, 1980, she married Joel Sawyer at the First Church of God in Nappanee, Ind.

Cynthia was a lifetime area resident. She was a graduate of NorthWood High School and a homemaker. She enjoyed her grandchildren and music.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter: Stephany (Josh) Satoski, Syracuse; sons: Joseph Sawyer, Nappanee; Andrew (Alithia) Sawyer, Syracuse; 10 grandchildren; her mother; and her brothers: Ron (Nancy) Linville, Nappanee; Dennis (Teresa) Linville, Nappanee.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 17, at Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
