North Webster Police Reports
Accidents
Officers of the North Webster Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Sunday, Aug. 4, 12:19 a.m. SR 13 near Backwater Road. Drivers: Maria I. Rodriguez, East Fourth Street, Ligonier; and Eduardo Villalobos, South Cavin Street, Ligonier. No other information given.
Friday, Aug. 2, 2:07 p.m. SR 13 and Crystal Flash Road. A blue Chrysler Sebring with passenger side damage left the scene of an accident and headed north. Damage amount to the truck owned by Jared Hamilton, Ponderosa Drive, was not reported.
Thursday, Aug. 1, 3:42 p.m. Blaine Street. Driver: Mary R. Atkinson, Parkwood Drive, Nappanee. Atkinson was driving a vehicle that ran off the road and struck a telephone junction box when she spilled a pop. No other information given.
Incidents
Officers of the North Webster Police Department recently investigated the following incidents:
- Monday, Aug. 5, 2:30 p.m. East Black’s Court. Janet Doerscher reported a stolen license plate off of her truck sometime between Aug. 3-5.
- Sunday, Aug. 4, 12:10 a.m. East Washington Street. An intoxicated customer was asked to leave Stimmelator’s and struck employee, Matthew Adams. The customer was removed from the bar and given a trespass warning. No charges were requested.
- Saturday, Aug. 3, 5:44 p.m. South Main Street. Freedom Express reported a silver or gray Nissan drove off without paying of $45 worth of gas.
Arrest
Officers of the North Webster Police Department recently made the following arrest:
- Saturday, Aug. 3, 3:15 a.m. East Washington Street. A male subject pointed a handgun at two Stimelator’s employees in the parking lot and demanded money. Subject left the scene and North Webster police officer recognized the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Brian Goodspeed, 48, West 500 North, Hartford City, was taken into custody on charges of armed robbery, criminal recklessness and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
