A series of heavy storms passed through Kosciusko County Friday evening causing widespread flooding and downed trees. The Silver Lake and North Webster areas were hit the hardest.
At about 4:31 p.m., the tornado siren sounded in downtown Warsaw when rotation was reported in the skies over Lake City Highway near Old Road 30. Fortunately, the National Weather Service reported no tornado touched down.
In Silver Lake, wind damage downed trees and power lines. NIPSCO is currently reporting 3 customers in Silver Lake are without power, 38 in Warsaw, 33 in Pierceton and 224 customers in North Webster are without power.
