April Newcomer of Marion and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Newcomer of Milford, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Shalesta Bright Newcomer, to Ross Lane Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Peterson of Syracuse.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Wawasee High School and Indiana University in Bloomington. She is employed at Centurion in Fort Wayne.

The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Wawasee High School and is employed at Phend and Brown in Milford.

A fall wedding is planned for Oct. 12, 2013, at Oakwood Resort on Lake Wawasee.
