A Warsaw couple riding their mo-ped collided with a car in Warsaw today which resulted in serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Jimmy Lisenbee, 54, of Warsaw, and his wife, Tracy Lisenbee, 36, were both airlifted from Kosciusko Community Hospital after the accident, which happened at about 3:40 p.m. at Harrison and Fort Wayne streets by Sacred Heart Catholic School, Warsaw.

Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory fire fighters, Warsaw Police and Multi-Township EMS responded to the accident. Jimmy Lisenbee, according to his sister, Peggi Lisenbee-Wright, sustained six broken ribs, a broken foot and ankle and a crack to his spine. Tracy Lisenbee sustained abrasions. The driver of the vehicle, not yet identified, was not injured.

The official police report has not yet been completed and details of the accident are not yet known.
